Woven by an association of Indian Himalayan women of yak and sheep wool, herded ethically by nomadic and local shepherds. Each spring the herders collect the loose wool and bring to market. The weaver consortium then turns the wool in their vibrant, soft pashminas earning a steady income that has stabilized their rural mountain community.
